Search engine optimization (SEO), is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine's unpaid result —often referred to as "natural," "organic," or "earned" results.

In SEO words, Crawling means the visit of Google to your Links and crawling your web page. This process is done by spider of Google crawler.  After the crawling has been done the results stored on Google’s Index or database.  

SEO keywords are  the key words and phrases in your web content that make it possible for people to find your site via search engines.

A Back link is a hyperlink that links from a Web page, back to your own Web page or Web site. These links are important in determining the popularity of your Web site.

SEO has two major components, On Page and off Page optimization.        
The works that can be taken within the web site is called On page optimization. It helps to improve the website’s ranking in Google search.
Off Page optimizations refers to the activities outside the web site. It also helps to improve the ranking of the website.

Keyword Stuffing is a SEO technique, in which a webpage is loaded with keywords in the content. Keyword stuffing may leads to a website being banned in search ranking on major search engines.

Google Web-Spam team is a secret team of Google. The Web-Spam team detect and ban the websites which attempts to improve the websites ranking through spamming techniques.

The term Social Signals refers to the use of social medias to increase the rating of the link.

Panda Update is one of the major Update by Google introduced in February 2011 to stop sites that using the back links of low quality websites and with poor quality content.Panda is updated from time-to-time.

Penguin Update is another update of Google in April 2012. This update is against Link spamming that includes Link exchanging, Low quality link submission, Low quality link building, Comment spamming, using of payed links and link farming.

Parked Domain Update and Exact Match Domain (EMD) are the another updates introduced by Google.
